I had an extremely reactive female collie who would lunge for and bark at other dogs. My dog just couldn’t be around other dogs in close proximity without going nuts. She was also very nervous around people and would occasionally bark at people but other dogs were the biggest problem.
In the last 6 months with Miles, she has gone from being reactive towards other dogs and always being on lead, to being completely off lead at very busy beaches and having other dogs come up to her without going nuts. We couldn’t get our rescue dog to settle which was causing problem behaviour we (or other trainers) didn’t know how to fix. One session with Miles and he taught us how to properly set boundaries, communicate and met her needs through play - that evening we put the strategy into practice and she settled perfectly on the sofa and has done ever since. We also couldn’t let her off lead because of an insanely high prey drive. Now after two more sessions with Miles our dog is loving her off leash walks and recall isn’t a problem.
